Barn Chicks
will be meeting the first and third Saturday of each month this Fall. This is for girls 11- 18 and parents be warned: discussions during this time is open to whatever topics the kids bring up. If you have a young 11-year old you may want to call Caroline to see if this is age appropriate for them. However, volunteers strive to keep the topics uplifting and appropriate. The girls are usually split up into two groups if there are large enough age differences. Everyone will need a new 2013 waiver signed to update their registration and anyone new can register when they arrive. There is no fee to register. See the homepage of the website for the next scheduled meeting, or contact Caroline at 434-238-7195 or email

Fall 2013 024

Therapeutic Horse Program: We are very excited to announce our new therapeutic program! If you know of a child in need of spiritual, emotional, or relational healing then consider looking into our new program! This program is centered around a one- on- one mentorship with a trained volunteer. The volunteer will seek to teach the child about how to form a lasting bond with a horse while they relate that relationship to what a relationship with other people, and most importantly Christ, should look like! This Therapy is to help troubled youth who don’t have great relationships with their guardians, other students, or the people who love them. We understand that for children, life events can be damaging and we are here to find healing through the unconditional love of a horse and the grace and mercy of Jesus Christ!
